This past weekend Sarah (sans Randy) traveled to the Czech Republic for a weekend in Prague.

Prague is a beautiful city, in part because it mostly escaped being bombed during WWII. The buildings are all very ornate.

The two most famous things in Prague are the Astronomical Clock and the Charles Bridge.

The clock is rated amongst the most overrated tourist attractions in Europe. Every hour the skeleton rings the bell and there is a “parade” of saints. I agree with everyone else – the hourly display is not that impressive. But the clock still looks cool.

St Vitus Cathedral inside Prague castle was very beautiful. There was a huge looking line but it turned out to only be a few minutes.

On one of the days we took the train (it had compartments like in Harry Potter!) to Kutná Hora to see the Sedlec Ossuary (aka bone church). So many bones…

There were so many bones it didn’t seem real. It’s hard to comprehend 40,000-70,000 skeletons of real people piled up like that.
